A Brief Explanation Of The Fundamentals Of The Religion For Children
Compiled by: Umm Abdis Salaam Al Grenaadiyyah
Who is your Lord?
Allah is our Lord. He created everything that exists. He is the creator of the heavens and the earth. He created all of mankind and jinns. Everything that we see Allah has created.
Allah says in the Qur’an,
“Allah created everything” [Surat Az Zumar: 62]
Allah has no partners. He was not born. He has neither a mother nor father. He has no children. Allah has no wife.
Allah says in the Qur’an,
“Say: He is Allah the One. Allah the Self Sufficient Master, Whom all creatures need, He has no children, nor was he begotten (no mother no father). And there is none equal or comparable to Him.” [Surat Al-Ikhlas: 1-4]
Allah has created mankind to worship Him. All actions of worship are for Allah alone. We do not worship anything or anyone else. Worship that is not done to Allah alone is called shirk.
Allah says in the Qur’an,
“I have not created mankind and jinn except to worship Me” [Surat Adh Dhariyaat: 56]
