The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Translator: Abu ‘Abdis Salaam Siddiq Al Juyaanee

Allah has sent all of the Messengers (Alaihimus Salaatu was Salaam) as bearers of good news, warners, leaders, and those who guides to that which is right.

Allah the Most High says,

“Messengers as bearers of good news as well as of warning in order that mankind should have no plea against Allah after the Messengers. And Allah is Ever All Powerful, All Wise.”  [An-Nisa: 165]

All of the Messengers (Alaihimus Salaatu was Salaam) called their people to believe properly in Allah, make all worship sincerely to Allah alone as well as to disbelieve in all that is worshiped other than Allah.  This was the call of all of the Messengers (Alaihimus Salaatu was Salaam).

Allah the Most High says,

“And verily, We have sent among every Ummah (community, nation) a Messenger (proclaiming): “Worship Allah (Alone), and avoid (or keep away from) Taghut (all false deities, etc. i.e. do not worship Taghut besides Allah).” [An Nahl: 36]

Verily, Allah has made it obligatory upon the believers to believe in all of the Prophets and Messengers (Alaihimus Salaatu was Salaam) without making any distinction between them.

Allah The Most High says,

“Say (O Muslims), "We believe in Allah and that which has been sent down to us and that which has been sent down to Ibraaheem (Abraham), Ismaa'il (Ishmael), Ishaaque (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), and to Al-Asbat [the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], and that which has been given to Musa (Moses) and 'Eesa (Jesus), and that which has been given to the Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we have submitted (in Islaam).” [Al Baqarah: 136]

The first Messenger was Nuh (Alaihis Salaam).  Allah sent Nuh (Alaihis Salaam) to his people in order to call them to the worship Allah alone and to leave off the worship of the idols.  His people went against him and did not obey him.

At that point, Nuh (Alaihis Salaam) to Allah supplicated against his people; Allah answered his supplication and drowned them in the great flood.

The Messengers continued and followed in secession after Nuh (Alaihis Salaam) until Allah sent our Prophet, The last Prophet and Messenger, Muhammad (SallAllaahu Alaihi wa Sallam).  His message is the sum of all previous messages, (as the religion of the Messengers is one).  Islaam is the foundation for true life, that which will rectify the (problems of humanity), and the completion of Allah’s favor upon mankind.  The message was thus completed with our Prophet Muhammad (SallAllaahu Alaihi wa Sallam).
